When should you start supplementing your baby’s diet with solids?
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends starting supplemental baby foods at about 6 months of age. Most providers are okay if you wait until at least 4 months of age before introducing any solids to your baby’s diet.

What types of foods should you introduce first?
Plain rice cereal to start off then advance to vegetables and fruits. NO MEATS at this point, at least not until about 9 months of age.
